Our Professional Staff
All clinicians, including dental hygienists, have post-graduate training in geriatrics and/or other specialty training at the post graduate level. Our clinicians therefore, have the experience, expertise, and comfort in treating special needs patients. Our philosophy for hiring staff is that they possess patience, good temperament, and adaptability to address the requirements of special needs patients.
Dr. Phillip Hendrix
Dr. Hendrix received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Iowa, School of Dentistry in 1998. He completed a one year internship at the Kino Community Hospital in Tucson, Arizona in 1999 where he acquired extensive emergency procedure experience. He has been the director and provider of mobile dental services since 1999. Dr. Hendrix is a member of the Arizona Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and is an award recipient of “the Crest Award for Preventative Dentistry for the Elderly”. He is also CPR certified by the American Heart Association.
Dr. Frank Gonzalez
Dr. Gonzalez received his Dental Medicine Degree from the Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 1997. He completed clinical advanced education at the Lutheran Medical Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Gonzalez then completed a one year internship at the Kino Community Hospital in Tucson, Arizona in 1999. He has extensive background in general as well as geriatric dentistry with a specialty in prosthetic dental appliances. Dr. Gonzalez has been a dentist on staff with Coronado Dental Services since 1999. He is also fluent in Spanish. He is a member of the Arizona Dental Association and American Dental Association.
Fahima Durani
Ms. Durani received her dental assistant certification in 1987 and x-ray certification in 2001. She has been assisting in the treatment of the geriatric and special needs population since 1999.
